PVD wheels are significantly lighter than chrome-plated wheels, offering improved fuel efficiency and a wide variety of finishes without the environmental hazards of hexavalent chromium.

Each of these technologies caters to a different segment of the market, from the mass-produced steel wheels on economy cars to the high-performance alloy wheels on luxury vehicles.
